Hoddens Ltd is a business which primarily deals with the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles. We aim to provide our customers with a ‘quality’ service. As part of that commitment, it is necessary to obtain and store information personal to our customers. Hoddens Ltd is committed to protecting all personal information and this privacy notice helps to explain how we use any data that you provide.

Information provided by you

Any personal data we hold is provided by you to allow us to carry out various tasks associated with your vehicle. This data generally includes your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and vehicle details. Information relating to the use of our website is also collected using cookies (see below for a helpful explanation).

How we use the information from you

We use this information to enable us to contact you providing quotes, taking instructions, clarifying faults, obtaining payment, and advising when work is either completed or due on your vehicle. Information provided by you is not shared with any third party for marketing purposes. We aim to take all reasonable security measures to protect your personal data and these measures are subject to regular review. The legal basis for holding your personal data is the performance of a contract which is created every time that work is carried out on your vehicle.  We will hold the information for as long as necessary but if you have not used our services for a period of 2 years it will be classed as ‘outdated’ data and be deleted to protect your personal information.

Access to your information & correction of any incorrect information

We always aim to make sure that your personal data is accurate and up-to-date and will review this as part of our monitoring process.

This means that you have control of your personal data and can request that we advise you clearly as to what information we hold about you, how we use that information, and whether it has been shared with anyone else. Making a Complaint

If we receive a complaint from you relating to the data information that we hold, it will be addressed promptly (at the latest within a month), and we will provide you (in writing) with full details of any action we have taken to address your concerns.
